Security Features - Non-Destructive Data Deletion

Non-Destructive Deletes

In our EvoCloud CMS, you will find delete buttons for most content in your website.
If a staff has the permissions to delete something, and they click the delete button, it is simply marks the content as "deleted" in the database and it is hidden.
It is not physically destroyed. This non-destructive delete solution is present throughout our CMS to protect your website.
If an employee accidentally deletes something, and administrator in your organization can the admin-only un-delete functions to restore the content.
All deletions are tracked in a report that shows the user who deleted the content, a time stamp when it happened, and what their IP address was at the time the deletion happened.

Overwrite Protection

When you save a page update or updates to other content in your website, the change is saved as a new version.
Versions are unlimited. This prevents an employee from overwriting a page or other content.
All versions may be rolled back in case a mistake is made.

Data Export and Content Alerts

If an employee attempts to perform data exports in the website (imagine exporting a list of citizen/customer email addresses), then this triggers and alert for admins.
It is also possible to setup content alert notifications during sensitive time periods (i.e. during elections) so that any and all changes to the website content trigger an email to admin staff.
These security settings help to protect against inside threats from your staff.
